The Ocean

 The Sea Hello, everybody. Today I am writing about the ocean, mostly the Pacific. And also mostly focusing on marine mammals because there are a lot of Ocean creatures. I’ll continue this topic for a couple of posts, hopefully encompassing a good amount of ocean animals. Let’s dive in! California Sea Otters These marine mammals are adorable members of their family. They are the largest in the weasel family, and the smallest marine mammal. They dive underwater to look for sea urchins. They also bring up rocks. They then lay the sea urchin (or clam) on their chests and slam the rock into it, showing that they are one of many animals that use tools to get food. Sea otters actually have a special flap of skin that they can hold the rock and their food in, and then tuck their arm close to their body, being hydrodynamic and holding their stuff.
